Board Meeting Minutes
March 21, 2021

Attending: Gaynelle, Virginia, Richard, Barry, Becky, Neil, Roberta, John, and Guest Speaker - Bill Elwell

Invocation: Rich Codding

Reports: Roberta – The Poor Peoples Coalition has moral Mondays. We all are welcome; they continue to work on various aspects concerning the poor.

Police Accountability Board - Myra Brown made a statement recently from Spritus Christy on recent police shooting. There is a reform package #203 in NYS. City Council had a forum on this topic 3/18/21. We had some discussion on this ongoing problem. There is legislation: Daniel’s Law in NYS, and George Floyd legislation in Federal Government. Please review the Mayor’s proposals on Police Reform for later Discussion. There is a proposal from Metro Justice, we will discuss at our next Executive meeting.

John – reported on meeting of Metro Justice. He will continue to attend these ZOOM Meetings.

Barry - presented a new position for TIAR Communications and Public Relations Officer. We nominate Gaynelle Wethers. All approved other Actions: The Board approved the Meetings of the February meeting and placing Neil’s commentary on Paul Bryer in the newsletter. We will be updating the web page and Newsletter. This work is assigned to the AD HOC COMMITTEE ON MEMBERSHIP.

Our speaker Bill Elwell: Gave an excellent presentation on the “Social Dilemma”
And a vibrant discussion followed!

Roberta gave a summary of the recent action at the ROC ACTS Meeting. The Director/Organizer has resigned and ROC ACTS will use Faith in Action as a model and move forward.
